One of my goals this year was to finally decorate my house and make it our HOME. In order to do this I had to slow down. When I rush and just fill the space I end up hating it. So we are in the process of slowly purging all of our unwanted possessions and adding ones that we love. Here are a couple of pieces I picked up for the kitchen this week at the Brass Armadillo Antique Mall...
The kitchen & living room are ALMOST done. We still need to find a new coffee table. I have my heart set on a vintage mining cart like this one, but a lot cheaper. I have a couple of projects in the kitchen as well. I also need to replant my herbs, I killed those suckers dead.
I did finally finish Bailey's room. If she can keep it clean long enough for me to take pictures I'll show you. Girlfriend is a piglet.
Matt and I also made a huge life changing decision to take the TV out of our bedroom. Bedrooms should be for reading, sleeping, and...married people activities ;) So far we love the change. Moving that big hunk of metal also left a place for me to hang this...
So now I'll be getting rid of that furniture that I thought was great 5 years ago and redoing our bedroom. I'm super excited about it! I'm not going to get to ahead of myself though. Slow and steady seems to win the decorating race for me.
Are you working on any projects in your home?
