Supplies:
- 1 large piece of plywood - I had mine cut to 6 feet and kept the remnant for the base
- spray adhesive
- old book - I used an old reader's digest
- gloves - I didn't use any and my hands got pretty gross, ruined my mani!
I suggest doing a little test to see which size pages work for you. Smaller looked better for me. Then just go to town with the spray adhesive, place the pages at random, and cover all the holes. I finished my large piece and then covered the small piece. Make sure to hang some pages over one of the edges. The two pieces fit together for a seamless backdrop on a table for smaller items, or the floor for larger items. Make sure to put them by a window for natural lighting.
Here is an example of some smaller product shots using the backdrop on a table...
Here is a full length example with the backdrop on the floor...
I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Now I just need to keep the puppy from peeing on it and I'll be ready to open up shop!
I think this concept has a lot of potential. It would be rad to do a whole wall like this.
Would you ever do something like this in your home?
