If you like Valley of the Dolls, you'll probably love this too. The Best of Everything
was written in 1958 and is based on real experiences of working girls in New York. It's very glamorous, gritty, and real. And hey, even Don likes it :)
Historical fiction is by far my favorite genre. The Chaperone
is a great story of two women and their experiences from the 1920's to the 1960's and is rich with historical references & facts. I love learning, and I love history, but non-fiction is a drag so this was perfect.

At the end of my last post I was reading The Handmaid's Tale
and I promised you a review. I thought it was amazing! I you love dystopian novels, I highly recommend this one.
Gone Girl is a beautifully written, suspense novel. Think James Patterson without the cringe worthy, cheesy writing...sorry, James! It's brand new so kind of expensive, I recommend getting on your library's wait list for it.
What should I read next?
Have you read any of these? What did you think?
