Fab Finds Friday {Teacher Appreciation} Linky Party

Are you all napping because you got up at 4:00 a.m. to watch the royal wedding?  I slept in.  I'm sure I will catch  pl-en-ty of highlights today.  I already saw the dress...amazing!  I really just want to see all the hats!

This is a new series on Blue Eyed Owl.  I am going to be combining my usual Monday Blues post (handmade finds)  with my Obsessions post (vintage finds) from Salvaged Style.  Fab Finds Friday will roll them all into one and get you ready for some online shopping this weekend!  Take a look at my finds and then join the linky party and show me your fab find that I missed!

This week I am all about Teacher Appreciation!  I used to be one and I know how stressful and demanding the job can be. Teachers deserve a lot more credit for all they do for our children.  I plan on spoiling Bailey's teacher this year and doing a little gift each day.  I made this treasury this week on Etsy full of pretty vintage and handmade teacher finds...

Here are some great gift ideas I found online...

It's a bit late to buy these for next week, but they would make great end of the year gifts too!

Have you ever been on Skip To My Lou?  Well there are about a billion adorable ideas over there for cute & easy gifts you can make this weekend for your child's teacher.  She has a linky party there too with all kinds of ideas from other sites.  You should check it out!

Alright, well I want to see what you have for sale in your shop (vintage or handmade), your tutorial, or blog post for Teacher Appreciation Week or for the end of the school year.

Here is what I request:

1) Follow me :)
2) Link up & promote away!
3) Check out the other links too.
4) Promote this post so more people see your link (FB, Twitter, Etsy, your blog, etc.)
5) If you want to put my button in your side bar for a day or two, that would be fine with me :)

{Obsessions} Mad Men Style

I was a little too excited when I heard that the Mad Men negotiations had finally come to an end, and the next season was a go.  I believe there was a little song and dance involved and a whole lot of squealing.  I am bummed however that we will need to wait until early 2012 for the next new episodes to air...ugh!  So of course, for the remainder of 2011, I will be obsessing over Mad Men.  I may have to do a marathon weekend with my hubs to hold me over.

Here are some vintage picks to get you pumped for the new season...

Cracks {Fab 30's Fashion}

This weekend I watched the independent film, Cracks. Despite receiving only 39% on the tomatometer, I enjoyed the film.  The acting was great and the fashion was fabulous!  The movie takes place at an elite British boarding school in the 1930's.  The girls favorite teacher, Miss G, played by Eva Green, is one glamorous lady.  Alison Byrne did an amazing job on the costume design. I die for these looks!

Here is some vintage eye candy for you...
